Fresh Air

Why is air, fresh air so important? Of course we can live weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without air! But why is “fresh air” important?

Research has shown that in the presence of outdoor air, the gray matter portions of the brain became excited thus improving the subjects mood. As oppose to living in the cities and heavy populated towns, the stale air here contains large amounts of vaporous mercury, sulfur and other heavy metals, due to factories and other manmade items. The mercury gets into the blood stream, and washes into waterways, entering fish which are consumed. The heavy metals are emitted into the atmosphere causing lung cancer, bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema. But did you realize the connection of poor air conditions and most chronic health conditions like Alzheimer, Parkinson’s disease, psychological complications, autism, retinopathy, vascular inflammation, and more.

Fresh… it has been identified as containing atmospheric ions, called aerions. These ions are charged particles of matter which when kept in the right combinations/balance create fresh air. The freshness and vitality of the air provides life-giving air to people which creates an uplighting, revitalizing experience! The fresh air improves the cleansing action of the cilia that line the trachea/windpipe, thus sweeping out dirt quicker.  Fresh air is energizing, the ions improve the function of enzymes in the cells which creates the energy. The ions also kill germs that are found floating around in the air. The negatively charged air compounds, improve brain waves, thus creating a more relaxing and tranquil feeling. In addition, the fresher air has shown to improve learning and retention of information.

So how can we get this “fresh air?” Take walks in forests especially with evergreen trees, the fragrance of cedar, pine or fir, add to the electrifying of the air with natural aromatherapy. Take a splash at the beach in the heavy ocean waves or walk along the cliff edges where the waves crash. In addition, taking walks in the mountainous, rocky areas create these same ions where the tree roots meet the rock. Ultimately, the best places to live are as far away as possible from cities and when this isn’t practical, spending as much time as possible outside, within a treed area will improve your mental and physical health.
