Healing … the primary goal

Healing versus curing. What’s the difference? In our society today, the two terms are often used interchangeably, but they are quite different! Curing can be defined as a force from the outside given to a passive recipient and refers to a specific condition. Because the person is “passive,” they are by definition not responsible for their actions which have contributed to the condition and in then are not responsible to contribute to the restoration of their health. This differs from the concept of healing in that the person must be an active participant in their own healing where the healing takes place from within, not without and refers to the body as a whole, not just a specific condition. There are no miracle drugs or prescriptions that we can write to heal. The participant must take an active role in their healing process through right choices which support and maintain healthy functioning, allowing for the body to do its own work of healing. By enabling the person to be an active participant in their health, they are no longer a victim of the consequences of poor health, but can be empowered to take charge of their health and revamp their health destiny! This is where Beyond Essential Healing can help. We can provide information, encouragement, guidance, prayer, etc. to help the participant educate themselves and work together to make a plan for improving their health. Lifestyle Foundations

So much of how our bodies deal with illness comes down to how we choose to live our lives. Are we mindful of what we eat and when? Do we make a conscious effort to get some physical activity everyday? What about sleep? Do we get enough rest in order to enable our body to recuperate from the daily stresses? These and more are all questions we begin to explore as we evaluate the current lifestyle choices each participant is making on a regular basis.

Ditch & Switch

Once the Lifestyle Foundations have been addressed, the next step in working to improve your health is to get rid of the toxic, chemical laden products which you are exposed to on a daily basis. Our skin is an amazing buffer, but still through exposure can take in so many toxic products which can impact our health. This includes products like our shampoo, conditioner, cleaning products, toothpaste, etc.. As you work with your practitioner, we will evaluate and look at replacing any of these products with healthier versions which will still provide the result you’re looking for, without the toxic impact.

Supplements

Believe it or not, medications, supplements, and essential oils are not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle! At Beyond Essential Healing, we want to help you focus on the basic Lifestyle Foundations, getting rid of toxic exposure, and then add herbs and essential oils which work to help support the body in it’s natural mechanisms in order to help your body to heal from the damages it has sustained. Supplements are not medications and just like medications, are not a miracle cure. True healing takes place when the body is supported to perform it’s healing capabilities without hinderance.
