Happy Lymphatic System

One of the most important part of the immune system is the lymphatic system. The function of the lymph system is to drain excess body fluids to keep levels in balance. Lymph contains the white blood cells and produces antibodies. When an infection is present in the body, it is the job of the lymph system to collect the germs to remove them from the body.

The lymphatic system works in tandem with the circulatory system. How do you care for a system so important? The number one best method to move the lymph  system is rebounding. You know, the mini trampolines, mostly looked at as a kids toy but it isn’t! Just 10-15 per day of bouncing allows a pumping motion that moves the toxins through the system to guide them out of the body. Another, easy but effective method is contrast showers. Most people recognize a contrast shower which is used when you don’t feel well but this method helps to maintain the lymph system’s health but pushing out the toxins thus helping to prevent colds and flus. Easier still deep breathing exercise helps to stimulate the flow of lymph system. This when done outside brings even more benefits especially to the lungs. Before showering, dry brushing the skin in small circular motions, will stimulate the lymph systems flow, to removing any blockages thus increasing the flow. A good way to encourage the lymph system’s flow is an infrared sauna. Destress from heat and light and remove toxins like mercury, nickel, cadmium, and other harmful inorganic compounds by stimulating the lymph system with deep penetrating infrared.

Some internal methods for bringing relief would include castor oil compresses. Placing a castor oil pack over the liver and the lymph system draws the toxins to the surface, increasing the flow of the lymph. Start your morning out with a warm cup of lemon water. Lemon water is alkalizing helping to maintain the body’s pH, it aids in digestion, increases the absorption of vitamin B12 and iron. Drinking water helps to keep the lymph system hydrated which keeps it flowing as it is made up of 95% water.
