Loss & Health - How to heal after losing a loved one

If you are a regular follower of our blogs, you will notice a gap of time that has just occurred. This is due to the death of my father, Stephanie’s grandfather. After a battle with cancer, his body could not fight the extent of the injury created by this virus, invader, which weakened his body, creating a better condition for breeding. Knowing how much he loved us, continues to inspire us to share the healing message as given in the scriptures, from the Creator, who knows best, how to keep our bodies in fine working condition. Unfortunately, for my father, he didn’t understand the simple plan, he didn’t understand that God is the Master Creator and Designer of all we are. He trusted to the understanding of man and their simplistic understanding of this wonderful creation by our Master Designer. They failed him, his body could not continue to fight in its weakened condition. But how can you strengthen your body, so as not to fall into a weakened condition… rely on God’s Plan! Genesis 1:29 “ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Even Hippocrates recognized God’s Plan and is known to have said “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.”

God’s Plan - a simple acronym to help us remember our Designer’s methods for life giving health. We would do well to trust in His ways and ask Him to guide us and protect us.

G - Godly Trust - He is the Master Designer, He knows what we need to be in the best health condition, He has made every provision to SAVE us from this sinful world, He promises to care for us, to do what is best for us. We will do well to TRUST in His plan.

O - Open Air - Pure fresh air is best, walking outdoors, especially in a forest, a pine forest provides the body the negative ions for healing. We do well to do deep breathing exercises three times a day; once before breakfast, once mid-day and once in the evening… but not in stale indoor air! Open the window, step outside, breath in expanding your lungs as much as you can and hold for a count of 7, and slowly release, repeat 20 times.

D - Daily Exercise - Best completed outside in all weather! Intensity should be 20-30 minutes per day. Walking is the best exercise, you a walking stick if necessary to be safe. Take deep breaths as you walk, get your heart rate up, and maintain a heavy pace just to the point you can talk but cannot sing.

S - Sunshine - Get outside! Did I mention we should be outside as much as possible. The sun provides many benefits for the body. It furnishes the natural vitamin D, helps to lower cholesterol, aids in calcium assimilation, increases the volume of oxygen in the blood. Be smart if you haven’t been getting sun, start with 10-15 minutes exposure to the face and hands daily up to 30-45 minutes daily. The best times are between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to avoid burning.

P - Plenty of Rest - We MUST have nightly plenty of restful sleep. Start by having a light supper or none at all. Try to avoid stressful circumstances. Best times for going to bed are between 9:00 - 9:30. This will help you to wake better refreshed.

L - Lots of Water - Water usage is both internal and external. The body needs water for its functions. Drink pure soft water, distilled water is the best. The average, best amount you need is take your weight, divide by 2. Sip on this quantity throughout the day. If you do heavy work or work outdoors, drink plenty more. Start the day out with 2 glasses of room temperature water with fresh squeezed lemon. This charges your body for the day. Also drink your water between meals NOT with your meals. Be sure to shower daily, cool or tepid water is best. Rub your skin all over, this will increase circulation, helping the body to rid toxins.

A - Always Temperate - Abstain from all harmful substances. Avoid tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea (except herb teas), colas and soft drinks. It is best to eat no animal products or canned “fake meat”. and avoid all processed foods as much as possible. Add herbs to your foods such as basil, bay leaf, coriander, cilantro, cumin, dill, fennel, marjoram, mint, paprika, parsley, rosemary, saffron, sage, savory, tarragon, thyme. Eliminate margarine and do not fry any foods. Use no sugar, brown sugar, artificial sweeteners or products containing them. Replace with honey, molasses, or real maple syrup. Wait at least 5 hours from the end of one meal before the next is started. The stomach needs about four hours to digest its food. Several hours need to go by after supper before bedtime since digestion ceases when sleep begins. All food needs to be digested before bedtime.

N - Nutrition - Eat fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, legumes, and grains in as fresh a state as possible. Cook in stainless steel, corning ware or glass, and iron pans. Use no aluminum cookware. Cook on the stove or oven. It’s best to eat as much raw & fresh food as possible and not even cook it. The main meal of the day is breakfast, breaking the fast. The second largest meal is lunch/supper some call it. Dinner should be limited and light if eaten at all. Best foods are greens, eating 55% - 75% of your foods fruits and vegetables (but not at same meal); 25% or less grains; 25% beans/legumes; 5% nuts and seeds.

We ALL would do well to follow God’s Plan. If we diligently follow Him and trust to Him, He will care for us. If we are doing all we can do to follow His plan, then what He allows to happen, is what is for our best interest as He never allows more than we can handle to occur in our life. Choose to serve Him today ~~
