Why should you eat Avocados
Avocado is a fruit (seed on the inside) is a good source of potassium and healthy fats. Sometimes the fruit, leaves and seeds have been used to make medicine. The oil from the fruit is also used for medicine and for cooking.
Avocados have been identified when added to our diet, will help lower the “bad” low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and increase the “good” high-density lipoprotein HDL cholesterol. The avocado itself doesn’t contain any cholesterol or sodium plus they are lower in saturated fat.
Avocados have a wide variety of nutrients - Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, K, C, B5, B6, E, folate, and minerals like potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, and phosphorus.
Avocados are loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids. Do not misunderstand, avocados are a high-fat food, but the fat is oleic acid. Oleic acid has been associated with reducing inflammation within the body plus the oleic acid has beneficial effects on genes linked to cancer. Avocados are rich in fiber, 25% soluble and 75% insoluble. Soluble fiber feeds the friendly gut bacteria necessary for optimal body function. Insoluble fiber helps with weight loss, reducing blood sugar spikes and helps to lower risks of many diseases. avocados help with ulcerative colitis because of their anti-inflammatory response in our body. Eating avocados also help to improve symptoms from restless leg syndrome, muscle cramps, hyperthyroidism, hair loss, gout, fibromyalgia epilepsy, diabetes, and acne.
